Mike Williams- Shihan

Mike Williams has been involved with Shito-Ryu Karate for over 27 years and in 2003 after a private meeting with Kenzo Mabuni Soko at the Honbu dojo in Osaka, Japan Mike was appointed as the official representative in Australia. He is now actively promoting the Seito Shito-Ryu of the late Kenzo Mabuni Soke in Australia.

In July 2009 Mike achieved a long time goal and was promoted to the rank of 5th Dan, he was also presented with a Shihan Menjo and the title of nshi y Tsukasa Mabuni Soke at an official presentation at the conclusion of the 7th International Shito-Ryu Karate Cup held in Osaka. Mike also won two silver and one bronze medal at the international tournament which were awarded for individual kata, individual kumite and team kumite in the Black Belt divisions.

Mike is a full time instructor and also operates a Martial Arts supply business and has recently started to develop his own brand of Karate uniforms and equipment under the Saikou brand.
